Little League Action Getting Hot With June's Warmer Temps on the Horizon

NELL & SWLL Look Forward to Hosting State Tourney

In NWLL action this week Anderson Pharmacy beat Peak Performance 9-3. Matt Luczak led Anderson with three hits and five RBI's while Derrek Clyde, Luke Lesperance and Antonio Jacobs each contributed two hits.

When watching a coach pitch game at NWLL the meaning of little becomes very definite.

Anderson also won a shut out over Gephart's Funeral Home 11-0 as Antonio Jacobs helped his own cause on the mound by notching five strikeouts while leading the charge at the plate with three hits, including a homerun.

Derrek Clyde added a two-run blast as part of his three hits while Luke Lesperance, Matt Luczak and Adam Meyer each added two hits in the win.

Firehouse Car Wash pounded out a 11-1 win over Hagan Ford behind the no-hitter effort thrown by Brandon Harding. Brendan Bujalskin and Matt Fisher provided the offense for Firehouse as they each had two hits apiece.

In SWLL Auto Tec won a tight offensive battle over Harpham Chiropractic 10-8 as Logan Eby led the barrage with four hits, Kollin Slachta had two hits including a grand slam homerun in the win. Taylor Schepper had two hits for Harpham.

In NELL play is continuing to heat up as they and SWLL look forward to hosting the State Little League Tournament on their fields in the end of June.

Blazing down to first, "always run everything out," echoes throughout NELL action.

NELL coach Tim Weller said, "we could realistically have a team in the state tournament right from NELL, there's quit a bit of talent right here."

Little League in Bay City is doing real well in all leagues as the numbers of participants is up is up in every league MyBayCity covers.
