There was a big turnout Wednesday night for the 14th annual REALTOR Auction held at Lumberbarons on Bay City's West Side.

The theme of the evening was "The 80s" and a good number of participants wore costumes that were typical of the "big hair" of the 80s era.

It was the second year at Lumberbaron's for the REALTOR Auction and Bob Adamowski, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Bay County REALTOR Association (BCRA) had only good things to say after the event.

"This is the primary fundraiser of the year for the REALTOR Association," Adamowski said. Adamowski pointed out that the money from the event is put back into the community.

Adamowski had nothing but praise for his staff and the many volunteers that coordinated the event. "I know everyone had a great time and got some great deals on the item/items that were available for auction, "Adamowski said.

"I just want to thank every one that contributed to the success of the event." (auction item, money, or services.)

Adamowski also thanked the members of the BCRA Public Relations committee for all their tireless efforts to secure the items and give their time before, during, and after the event. "You (the committee) are very special people and please know your efforts are greatly appreciated," Adamowski said.

Projects funded in previous years included: Princess Wenona Boat Rides and Wings of Mercy Flights. Also each summer, the Association sponsors one of the entertainment group that performs at the Bay Arts Council's Wednesday night Wenona Park Band Shell events. "We had an amazing turn out for tonight's auction and dinner," Adamowski said. "That's just wonderful."
