The 35th annual Riverside Art Festival will take place this weekend, June 14 & 15, 2008. The festival takes place in downtown Bay City along Water Street and within Wenonah Park.

Last year was the first time that it was held on Water Street, from the park to the Antique Center and was a big success.

Being on the street provides much better access for wheelchairs and baby strollers, allowed more room for the artists, with ability to arrange the booths in long rows down the streets are more favorable for the ease of viewing all the art. Store and restaurant owners on Water Street look forward to the increased traffic.

The YWCA Riverside Art Festival time schedule is:

  • Saturday, June 14th from 10am - 6pm.
  • Sunday, June 15th from 11am - 4pm.

The eagle, flag and rocks are all hand carved from basswood. It has over 100,000 Burn lines that were individually burned in the wood for the fine feathers.
