Washington Street Irish Pub enjoyed their one year anniversary Saturday night with Miller Light Chill specials, the Mysterians playing good classic jams and grilled chicken and rib specials. "We have improved the place alot but we have more to go," said owner Jon Polaczek.

Santiago Durand, Sally and John Polaczek (owners) and Brandy Doud (Bar Manager) took a break from dancing to pose for the MyBayCity camera.

Washington Street Irish Pub is the MyBayCity.com softball coverage sponsor and they also sponsor two teams down at Vet's. "We also sponsor a golf league that comes in on Thursdays," said Polaczek. "We also enjoy and welcome the teacher crowd every Friday night," added Polaczek. Bar Manager Brandy Doud confided to MyBayCity that "I am the fastest bartender in Bay City." By the looks of the crowd Saturday night and the fact that we couldn't catch her in action with our cameras was proof enough.

Jenae Simmons was there promoting Miller Chill with free prizes for anyone who tried a Chill, Maureen Stothard and Marlene Sajdak took advantage and show off their Chilly bounty.

The Miller Light Girl, Jenae Simmons was there promoting Miller Chill, their newest selection of light beer with a twist of lime. Simmons was giving away t-shirts, bottle openers, mini-pens and lime flavored lip saver that truly tasted like limes.

Deb Wilcox and Sally Polaczek had a good time dancing to the Mysterians.

The Mysterians will be back in the House on July 19th and the Pub will be grilling their delectable Chicken and rib dinners on the night of the big fireworks.

Special events deserve food specials as $6.00 rib and chicken dinners were grilled to perfection by Mike Johnson and Gary Rupe.

"We hope people will take a break from the traffic leaving town that night and stop in for a cold one and some barbecue," said Bar Manager Brandy Doud. With new windows in front, they still have plans to expand to the south with a three season room and outdoor patio. They have an expanded menu with many daily specials, featuring fish dinners on Friday. Next time you're down on Washington Street, stop in and see the renovations and grab yourself a cold one and a bite to eat. You won't be disappointed.

"Were like on big happy family at Washington Street Pub," said Bar Manager Brandy Doud (left)with customers and owner John Polaczek.

If you could only smell how good the food was, the Pub will be grilling again on July 5th -- The night of the big fireworks.
