Nature lovers, photographers, families and those wishing to see summer in bloom are invited to a Wildflower Walk at the Saginaw Basin Land Conservancy's Pinconning Nature Preserve on Saturday, July 19, 2008 at 10:00 am.

Local wildflower guide Pat Bilbrey will present a mini-lecture on local floral species and their habitat and then guide participants on a short stroll through the nature preserve.

"The Conservancy's nature preserves are a welcoming place for people looking for relaxation and appreciation of a beautiful, natural environment," said executive director Valerie Roof. Trails and volunteer-constructed benches are available for increased accessibility and enjoyment.

Included in the $10 adult non-member admission fee is a Michigan wildflower guide. Children are welcome at no additional charge. Conservancy member tickets are free. Membership information is available at the Conservancy's website at sblc-mi.org. Participants are welcome to take photographs. All preserve plantings must remain undisturbed. In case of rain, the event will be held the following Saturday.

Tickets are limited; reservation is first-come, first served. Please contact the Conservancy to reserve tickets at 989.891.9986 or via e-mail at comments@sblc-mi.org. For more information please contact Valerie Roof at 989.891.9986
