Three All Saints State Champs Receive Recognition & Key To The City

It was a packed house in City Hall Monday evening for the presentation of the Key to the City and proclamation of "All Saints Day" as July 08 2008 by Mayor Charles Brunner. Hundreds poured into City Hall causing officials to open the upper balcony that has not been open to the public for over 30 years to seat spectators and supporters

Monday evening the crowds poured into City Hall in Bay City to honor All Saint's Central High School Girls' Softball, Boy's Baseball and Bowling teams for their State Champ victories for the 2008 season!

Mayor Charles Brunner presented a proclamation that named July 08, 2008 as "Official All Saints Day" in the city of Bay City. Mayor Brunner also awarded All Saints Central High School Principal Waters a Key to the City for their determination and hard work!

All Saints Central High School continues to make history, even today in the 20th century with it's academics, athletics and organizations. It's leadership image is one that will most certainly go down in the history books, especially where sports and talented athletes are concerned. For decades All Saints has been turning out talented athletes and this century is no exception!

All Saints is the first school in Michigan history to achieve state championships in both Baseball and Softball and let's not forget bowling as well, all in one season!

The lady Cougars capped their season with a 23-game winning streak, allowing NO opposing team to score throughout their seven-game tournament run! WOW! The Cougar Baseball team had intermittent success during the regular season but when it really mattered, they fought the hard fight all the way to the State Champ finish line!All Saints Bowling team took the 2008 Division 3 State Championship in March!

MyBayCity.com congratulates these athletes as well as their supportive coaches who have been determined to contribute to the success of their teams! Congratulations, good job!
