After The Dust CD Release Party Packs Castaways

It was a packed house as the band 'After The Dust' held their CD Release Party, this past Saturday, July 19, 2008 at Castaways on Boy Scout Road in Bay City.



It was 2005 when five different guys from five different walks of life joined forces to bring a new, refreshing taste of good old rock-n-roll. With a broad spectrum of influences coming from many eras of great music, and their creative passion which fueled the making of this new CD entitled, John Doe.

Band members agree, it over a few months of Sundays, through the dead of a Michigan winter, in a basement with the heat turned off, with numb hands the band laid down 19 tracks of raw rock-n-roll.

After The Dust Is:

Chris Crawford - Lead, Slide, Rhythm Guitars

Eric Davenport - Lead Vocals, Guitar

Korey Gillespie - Lead, Rhythm Guitars

Greg Leaman - Bass Guitar, Background Vocals

Chad Winters - Drums

Davenport said, "This has been a long time in the making and although nothing is easy, we've completed: John Doe."


Guitar Giveaways were given out from Mid Michigan Music, and Gift Certificates Giveaways From Old Town Tattoo & Pure Romance by Amy. T-shirts, tank tops and stickers were also available.

The opening band for 'After The Dust' was special guest 'Peninsula Rising'. Chris Childs, 25, lead singer, grinned and said, "I call our music alternative crash bang or sloppy rock." Childs went on to say, "After the Dust members are good friends of ours and we've played gigs with them before, so we are happy to be here tonight to celebrate their new CD release."
