Justin Gatza collected his fourth hit in five at bats throughout the tournament but this one was the most important one for him and his teammates.

After going hitless the previous four innings against Heyboer Southwest cracked the seal and the rally was on.

Seth Freed followed up with a double then Brendan Taberski walked to load up the bases. Heyboer reached his pitch limit and moved to third, South west nicked their ace and were ready for the reliever.

Scott Badour walked, Jacob Alarie hit an RBI single, then Hayden Clements walked to force in another run and Bay City was back on top 7-6 and then the jabs started taking there toll on Georgetown. One knock out hit was delivered by Brendan Taberski with a two run double in the middle of the inning.

In a see-saw battle that seen the lead change three times. Bay City garnered the momentum going into the fifth after turning a sweet double play to end a Georgetown threat to end the fourth.

Taylor Schepper threw a great game against a hard hitting Georgetown squad. After back to back homeruns to Georgetown's Eddie Heyboer and Luke Gagnon in the fifth to make it 6-4 Georgetown, Schepper gave the duties over to Justin Gorr who gave up one run in the bottom of the seventh to seal the 12-7 win.

The win over Georgetown assured a re-match grudge match against Midland who had their own comeback against Lincoln Park in the final innings to get to the State Title game.

The Bay City team won the ten-year olds title then Midland won the states as eleven year olds, now the rubber match is on for the state title as twelve year olds.

The obligatory handshake is Happier for Bay City after their 12-7 win.
