Early September means salmon season on the West Side of Michigan.
Tanner Layle, 9 year-old son of Brady and Joann Layle of Bay City, shows off this hefty 15lb+ Chinook Salmon that Tanner and his dad landed during a September 6th fishing trip at Baldwin, Michigan.
The Layles camped at Whispering Oaks in the Baldwin area and spent the day on a Pere Marquette River float trip near Rainbow Rapids.
Tanner is a student at Zion Lutheran School (MS. Martin's class)A fish likethis can even make Grandpa Jack (Layle) a wee bit jealous. See more Michigan Salmon and Steelhead pictures and information at
