Local Media Celebrities Go Hog Wild For Charity!

People were looking for a place to go "Hog Wild" Friday for lunch and that they did down at the Labadie Pig Gig's Celebrity Cook off.

Patrons were able to sample ribs made by local celebrities teamed up with BBQ competitors from around the Midwest. Some celebrities even made their own "Celebrity Sauce" to tempt patrons pallets!

MyBayCity was one of them and we are grateful not only to those that came out to support our cause, Crime Stoppers, but to the judges as well for picking our sauce as one of the best!

Many local celebrities were involved in the competition for their own cause. The following is a list of winners from the Celebrity Cook off.

JUDGED COMPETITION AWARD:

1st Place

ABC 12 - Kevin Goff & John MacMurray / Dumas WIOG/ Pork N' Beans benefiting Studio 23

2nd Place

MyBayCity.com - Julie Munger, Marlo Leveling / Hoser Z-93 / LagerHeads benefiting Crime Stoppers

3rd Place

WKCQ - John Richards/ Sawmill Smokehouse BBQ benefiting Cory Place

PEOPLES CHOICE AWARD:

1st Place

WHNN / Johnny Burke / Blondie / Famous Dave's benefiting The Johnny Burke Children's Foundation

2nd Place

TV 5 - Cindy Althoff & Chris Gloninger with Stan Parman of Wheelz / Aussom Aussie benefiting Special Olympics

3rd Place

The Bay City Times - Pati Lalonde, Ryan Stanton, Alex Cohn & Cathy Koebke with Art Lewis of WSGW / Bar-B-Cuties benefiting The Boys and Girls Clubs.

Johnny Burke and Blondie from WHNN Radio 96.3 took home the Peoples Choice award (1st place) with their celebrity sauce!

Bob and Jeannie Adamowski stopped by the Lagerheads booth to try some of their ribs on Friday. "Best lunch we've had all week," Bob said. (We can only hope that he voted for MyBayCity's sauce.)

Marlo Leveling slaps the homemade MyBayCity "secret sauce" onto a slab of ribs for a customer! "What a day, what a wonderful day. Were out here raising money for Crime Stoppers and you simply couldn't ask for better weather for the event," says Leveling.
