Kevin Sackett put on a great short show for Sunday Pig Giggers as the lead act for Grass Roots.

Sackett took the Big Stage at Pig Gig and sang George Michael's "NEVER GONNA LOVE AGAIN" and the Josh Groban hit, "FEBRUARY SONG to an approving and appreciative Sunday afternoon audience.

Sackett, who won the 16-week Michigan's Got Talent Competition at Stables also received an all-expense paid trip to Las Vegas as well as the opportunity to perform at Pig Gig.

I think Kevin Sackett was great and he should fit in just right in Vegas.
You all were lucky to have him.

I think Kevin was scared to death about being on the stage at PigGig. I've heard him sing so much better. Especially Thursday night when he won.

Hey friends! I got an email from Drew in response to my request for ideas for a song we can all do together at the reunion.... "With A Little Help From My Friends"! I think it's a great idea. I'd like for us to do an extended version and give all the semi-finalists a chance to do a couple of lines their unique way. What do you think? I'm open to any suggestions. Remember... it's all for a good cause; the Cancer Society. I've received a great deal of response on this, so let all your friends know. I look forward to seeing you all again. Great performance, Kevin!!! You represented this contest very well!

My gosh! This guy can not sing but I did not hear any of them that could sing. Next year just let them at perform at the pig gig and let them all go to Vegas. They all got balls to stand up week after week and sing their heads out. For what...to be laughed at.

FYI... Kevin isn't performing in Vegas he just won an all expense paid trip .... this was all in good fun...the past 17 weeks which was had by most during that time at the Stables...sorry to those of you who didn't enjoy it.

hey mr anonymous...
You, like a lot of the folks who commented negatively here, have no clue what real musical talent is.
All the competitors were non professionals but talented, each in their own way.
If you didn't like it then why is it you continued to listen?
You, my friend, are a joke.
Concertgoer says:       On August 06, 2008 at 01:02 PM
Kevin - don't take the negative comments "too" seriously, and accept the good ones with careful consideration. There are good performances and bad ones, good audiences and bad ones... You have style and you have charisma, two very important qualities in making audiences love you. With the right management and direction you could be a star.

U STILL AWAKE OUT THERE?
Let's talk about the Michigan's got talent 3 competition. The object of the game #1 is to win. We all want to win. But most of all, it's to expand our abilities. That is something everyone in this contest set out to do. Also, to build a confidence that can only be aquired by sticking your neck out and taking a chance. I hope all the contestants learned something about their performing abilities, and I hope they use this to continue their quest.

The sponsors, and MBC.com have been and still are thanked and rightfully so, but their are others we missed. First, the finals at Pig Gig on Thursday could have been a disaster without the help of some very talented sound people. The main and monitor mix was ran by Michigan Sound Reinforcement Company. As the stage changed after every performance, the mix on stage changed too. The mixing crue from MSRC were on the ball. They were quick to respond, and did a fabulous job!

Also, the people from D Street Entertainment directed the stage. Between contestants, they moved out equipment while setting up the next act at the same time. They made the show run smoothly, and I want to thank them for the great job that they did!

And finally, I'd like to say I've had a great time working with all of the very talented contestants, and to get the chance to know all of you. I hope to see you all very soon. Keep watching My Bay City.com for information on the next Michigan's got talent competition.

Congrats to all the entertainers
EVERYBODY WON
