Sealants are a cost effective option to prevent future dental decay. A sealant is a plastic material that is "painted" on the chewing surface of your child's back teeth.

It can be difficult to clean in the deep grooves of molars and premolars. This coating forms a barrier that protects the tooth from cavity causing bacteria and acid attacks.

The procedure is non invasive and takes only minutes per tooth. As long as the sealant remains intact, the tooth surface is protected from decay. Sealants hold up well under the force of normal chewing and usually last several years.

Please contact our office for more details. Our helpful staff will be happy to answer all of your questions.
