If you not familiar with Angel Food Ministries, you may find this article very informative in times when our economy is hurting and people are having a hard time simply feeding their families.
Anyone can become a part of this program. There is no financial paperwork to fill out, no red tape, simply place your orders, save time and money, pick up your box and feed your family! It's as simple as that!
For fourteen years, Angel Food Ministries, based out of Georgia, has provided balanced nutrition and food variety through its "Regular Box", with enough food to feed a family of four for a week!
Seeking ways to expand their outreach, Angel Food tries to offset delivery fuel costs by providing host sites throughout the United States and Bay City is fortunate to have two!
"In late 2006, I became aware of a food program called Angel Food Ministries. After much investigating, I determined that AFM was a program that would benefit the community of Bay City," said AFM Director, Joyce Wetters.
Following a presentation to First Church of the Nazarene's
board, a unanimous decision to become an Angel Food Ministries Host Site was made.
April of 2007 was the local first distribution and the vision
caught on. In volunteering, not only were they serving our community but were finding great joy in giving of their time
and letting the community know they care.
NOTE: June order & distribution dates are posted below for the First Church of The Nazarene & St. Paul's location
