There were no secrets going into this game. John Glenn was going to run power football at you and nobody has stopped them yet. Pinconning was not to be intimidated as they put up a good fight before losing 24-14.

Glenn opened the scoring by marching from their own 38 yard line to the Pinconning 5. But a tough Spartan defensive stand forced the Bobcats to kick a 22 yard field goal by Ty Richards. Pinconning responded by moving the ball down field to the Glenn 21 before the drive stalled.

Glenn couldn't move the ball and was forced to punt. Pinconning then buried themselves with back to back penalties and were force to punt deep in their territory giving John Glenn good field position at their 41. The Bobcats moved down the Spartan 16 where Matt Balen broke loose for a 16 yard touchdown putting Glenn up 10-0.

Pinconning quickly responded. After Tyler Espitia returned the kickoff 63 yards to the Glenn 32, the Spartans wasted little time in moving in for the score. Five plays later, Lucas Foco broke in from the two and Glenn went into the half with a 10-6 lead. John Glenn quickly seized the momentum as they dominated the time of possession in the third quarter.

But it wasn't until the end of the quarter that the Bobcats were able to dent the scoreboard. After a nice drive, Brandon Wrzesinski punched it in from the one putting the Bobcats up 17-7. Glenn then scored on their next possession. Tyler Clemons got things going as he took a handoff from his own 24 and busted it loose for a 62 yard gain before being stopped at the Pinconning 14.

A couple plays later, Clemons finished what he started by punching it in from the 6 to put Glenn on top and in command of the game, 24-7. Pinconning was not going to give up here. They drove right back with Stove Moore hitting Tyler Espitia on a 37 yard strike bring the Spartans within 10 points after a two point conversion pass to Brandon Koth.

For the game, John Glenn rushed for 323 lead by Tyler Clemons, 13 rushes for 134 yards and Matt Balen with 18 rushes for 12 yards. Quarterback Richard Watson added 22 yards in the air. Pinconning's offense totaled 193 yards with 117 of it on the arm of QB Steve Moore who was 5 of 16. John Glenn next takes on Ogemaw Heights as Pinconning plays Whittemore-Prescott.
