State Senator Jim Barcia was in town last Friday (10/3/2008) to swear in the new slate of officers for the Bay County REALTOR Association (BCRA).

Tommy V's hosted the luncheon and the turnout from the real estate community was excellent. "It's a changing of the guard," said Association CEO Bob Adamowski.

Barcia commented on his "great relationship" with the local real estate community. Barcia also praised the local REALTORS for their continued "energy" in today's difficult business circumstances.

Barcia went on to itemize a list of continuing business negatives that plague the real estate community. But Barcia ended on an up-note. "I applaud your continued success," Barcia said. "You (REALTORS) are a significant positive factor in our local economy."

Out-going BCRA President Mike Samborn thanked everyone for their support during the past year and congratulated the new BCRA Board officers.

In-coming President Jeff Anderson told the crowd that it was an "honor and a privilege" to serve as President of the BCRA Association.
