Bay City Players will present the drama 'Twelve Angry Men', by Reginald Rose and adapted by Sherman Sergel and and directed by Leeds Bird.

Show dates: October 17-19 and October 23-26, 2008 at the Bay City Players, 1214 Columbus Avenue, in Bay City. Performance times are 8:00 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 3:00 p.m. on Sunday.

THE PLOT: TWELVE ANGRY MEN has been a favorite of among American court-room dramas since it first appeared in 1955. Tension is there from the start as twelve jurors try to decide the fate of a young man accused of murdering his father.

Their instructions to decide "beyond a reasonable doubt" sound easy, but not everyone agrees on what is reasonable. Tempers flare; words are exchanged, and the audience is witness to the American judicial system put to the test. Players' production of this powerhouse show is made even stronger by casting both men and women.

(This show is intended for adults and mature teens.)

The box office for Twelve Angry Men will open on Monday, October 13, 2008. Box office hours are Monday through Saturday, 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m., and Sunday from 2:00 - 3:30 p.m. The box office phone number is (989) 893-5555.

Ticket prices are Senior/Students: $13.00 and Adults: $15.00. Students may purchase tickets for the Thursday, October 23rd performance for $5.00; student ID must be presented to the box office at time of purchase.
