The plan was simple: "control the football, and don't let Reese get any big plays". That was Coach Bisel's plan for winning on the road.

With both the Cougar's and the Rocket's hopes for the playoffs hanging in the balance, Friday night's game was of incredible importance. Defense dominated this game, and the steeled Cougar defenders were ready to prove their worth.

With Reese starting out on offense, the Cougar defenders went to work near the thirty yard line. Try though they did, the Rockets didn't get far before they were forced to punt the ball away as the Cougars' humbling defense overwhelmed them.

With the ball now in Cougar hands it was time to rack up some points. After some close calls, the Cougars Aaron Janer slammed in their first touchdown to gain the early lead. The Cougar defense went back to work, and in no time at all had the ball back on Cougar offense.

The first quarter came to a close with All Saints well into their second drive. After the short break, it didn't take long for the Cougars Aaron Janer to score the second touchdown along with a two-point-conversion run by Josh Sutton.

With the score now at 14-0, the Cougars knew they just had to hang on. With a little over three minutes left in the first half, the Cougar defense was easily able to stop the Rockets offense yet again and send them into their locker room at half time down by 14 points.

After the halftime show, it was back to business. The desperate Rockets put all their offense tricks to good use, but would only manage a total of six yards on the Cougar defense.

While the rock-solid Cougar defense held firm, the Cougars offense slowly ate up the clock on the Rockets. Neither team would manage a score in the second half, and the Cougars would walk away with a 14-0 win.

"This was the best display of defense this year!" Coach Bisel declared after his victorious team poured a jug of freezing cold Gatorade over his head. Not only was the win this year's first victory on the road but it successfully puts the Cougars back on their path to the playoffs.

Next week, the Cougars will visit undefeated Carrollton in an attempt to secure their place in the playoffs.
