John Glenn has taken a one two punch over the last two weeks. Last week it was number two ranked Standish-Sterling who came calling. This week, Nouvel, ranked number one in division 6, stopped by for a visit. And what a punch Nouvel was packing.

Fueled by a potent passing attack, the Panthers scored six of the seven times they touched the ball in the first half in mounting a 38-0 lead at the half.

On Nouvel's first possession, they moved from John Glenn's 46 right on down the field. The drive was fueled by passes from Ryan Henris to Murphy Wilson and to Sam Herbert at the one yard line. From there, Henris drove it in and the Panthers were up 6-0.

Following holding the Bobcats to three and out, Nouvel took over on their 25 and went right back to the air. Ultimately they finished the drive off with a 20 yard pass from Henris to Chad Jacobs and a 12-0 lead.

Nouvel bottled up the Bobcat offense again taking over in good field position. The Panthers went back to the air with a 42 yard touchdown strike to Sam Herbert and a 18-0 lead at the end of the first quarter.

Second quarter saw much the same. Following a Glenn punt, more passing and soon Henris hooked up with Ryan Miller for a 24 yard strike and a 25-0 lead.

These Panthers had a lot to celebrate.

Penalties and a touch Bobcat defense pushed the Panther's back forcing a punt. But when John Glenn couldn't move the ball and had to punt, Nouvel went right back at it. Henris hooked up with Chad Jacobs for a 31 yard touchdown at 3:15 left in the second quarter and again hit Jacobs with a 2 yard catch with 42 seconds left and a 38-0 half time lead.

The only real fireworks of the night for John Glenn came at half time as they honored their seniors with a half time firework show. When the stadium lights took a while to turn back on, many wondered it this would take Nouvel out of their rhythm. That was not to be the case.

Richards kicked the ball into the end zone giving Nouvel the ball on their own 20. Following a 52 yard run by Ryan Miller, Jon Ludka scored on an 18 yard pass from Ross Rokita to finish the Panther scoring for the night.

John Glenn tasted pay dirt early in the fourth quarter on a 1 yard run by Andy Martin. FINAL SCORE: Nouvel 44 - John Glenn 7. While the Bobcats have taken a 1-2 punch the last two weeks, they know next week they have their cross town rivalry game with Garber and they be ready.
