Ideal Party Store is Mid-Michigan's #1 source for imported craft and domestic beer since 1934 and is one of the most popular Tri City party stores to find a wide variety of beer, liquor and wines from around the world.

The store is located on Bay City's east side on Johnson Street. Ideal also offers complete party planning service and delivery.

Recently the owner of Ideal, Jerry Crete, presented a 2 hour beer tasting event at Old City Hall.

The event offered the opportunity to sample and choose from over sixty craft and imported beers from all over the world, from distributors including, Muehlenbeck, Fabiano Brothers, Elite Brands, Bev Quest, Tri City Brewing, B. Nectar Meadery, and Great Lakes Wine and Spirits.

According to Crete, the event was a good time to stock up with the best discounts of the season and to taste some of the best beers made today without having to purchase a six pack of each.

Guests made notes on the beers that they tried and enjoyed, and then know what to look for when they are visiting the store, to stock up for the holidays.

Crete said, "We had great success on a similar wine tasting event we did a few months back at Studio 23 for wine connoisseurs and wanted to do the same for beer lovers."
