Julie Munger-McCallum of TriCityBuzz Television was asking the questions during a recent interview of Santa during his stay at Santa House. "I'll be asking the questions tonight," laughed Munger-McCallum, sitting on Santa's lap during the interview. Santa was not phased at all by the bright lights of television coverage. "I know you've been a good girl, Julie," Santa played along. "This is tougher than I thought it would be," McCallum laughed.

President of Santa House, Keith Shore says he looks forward to Christmas every year. "Nate Doan was my cousin, and this was his dream," said Shore. "And we are going to keep it alive for him and for all future generations of children to come."

Shore says that all visitors, regardless of age, enjoy watching the animated puppets and figurines that dance and sing. "We try to add new displays to the Santa House every year," Shore went on.

The message from Shore is that Santa and Mrs. Claus will be available daily from 6-8:30pm, so don't forget your camera. The Santa House is located inside Veteran's Park on JFK Drive. For more information please call (989) 686-1460.

President Keith Shore says without a doubt that after 17 years, financially, 2007 and 2008 have been the toughest year of all.

According to the Bay-Journal web site . . . "Nate & Mary Ida Doan. Nate and Mary Ida, founders of the Santa House in Bay City, have been personal friends of Santa Claus for over 50 years.

Nate is no longer with us and is now working full time with Santa, and Mary Ida has doubled her efforts to keep the Santa House going with help of volunteers. But, there is always a need for more help, and donations to make sure the house is properly maintained for kids to enjoy during the holiday season."
