John Glenn's Coach, Sara Doyle, knows she has a size advantage going into most games and wants her girls to use it. Feeling that hadn't done that well Tuesday night, this was a point she emphasized in Wednesday's practice. The Lady Bobcats got the message as they utilized this against All Saints in Thursday's Consolation game of the Tip-Off Classic. The end result was a convincing 57-42 win.

The game started in typical high energy fashion. With both squads fighting hard, hustling, good baskets were hard to come by. But the quarter took its toll on the Cougars as Glenn started to find their rhythm as it ended 11-11.

Working that inside game, the Bobcats started getting the ball to Senior forward Laura Bluhm and she responded with aggressive moves to the basket. Her tenacity and energy was fed on by her teammates and soon the Bobcat offense and defense were clicking. By half time, they had out scored All Saints 19 to 8 forging a 30-19 lead.

The third quarter saw the pace pick up as both teams got into a run and gun offense. This style took Glenn out of their inside play. At times the play on both sides got a little sloppy with passes off finger tips and shots were rushed. By the end of the quarter, Glenn still had a 39 to 29 lead.

The fourth quarter saw the play settle down more. The third quarter had lead to a lot of fouls which meant a lot of walking to the free throw line in the fourth quarter. Glenn took advantage of this racking up 18 points to the Cougars 13 and coming away with a 57-42 win.

The inside play was evident on the score sheet as Bobcat forward Laura Bluhm scored 19 points and fellow forward Kelli Johnson added 14. Point guard Stephanie LaBelle added 9 while quarterbacking the Bobcat attack.

Brittney Case led the Cougars with 12 points with Ashley Bowker scoring 8.
