Pinconning started the new basketball season much where they left off. Returning much of last years starting players and key bench players, the Spartans are looking to do some damage this season. John Glenn got a taste of what the Spartans are capable of doing Monday night.

Pinconning came out with a tough man to man pressure defense that shut out John Glenn for the entire quarter. It was only cold shooting by the Spartans that kept John Glenn in the game as Pinconning shot 4 for 16 in the first quarter en route to a 12-0 lead.

Pinconning kept this tight defense going holding the Bobcats off the scoreboard for almost 2 minutes into the second quarter before John Glenn made it 16-2. The Bobcats were only able to add 3 more as Pinconning pulled out to a 26-5 halftime lead.

The fourth quarter saw both teams empty their bench giving everyone playing time. But give the Bobcats credit. They kept hustling and putting pressure on the Spartans the whole way outscoring the Spartans in the final frame 10-8 for a final score of 56-21.
