When you are a team looking to find your game, getting behind early can be devastating. And while the Lady Warriors found themselves in that situation, they continued to battle.

Both teams started out with cold shooting as neither team could hit their open shots. Both switched to a full court press to ignite their offense. While Western broke the ice by scoring the first basket, the spark ignited Heritage. The Hawks went on a 15-0 run finishing the quarter with a 21-10 lead.

The second quarter was the scoring even out as both teams backed off the press and worked their half court games. Heritage continued control of the game with quick passes and inside dominance as they built a 32-19 half time lead.

Heritage started the third quarter with their full court press. This press triggered a 7-0 Heritage run to start the quarter building a 20 point lead. The Hawks pulled off their press as the two teams settled into their half court game. By the end of the quarter Western found themselves in a deep hole, trailing 44-27.

The fourth quarter saw both teams empty their bench. While they played hard, Western couldn't chip away at the lead resulting in a final score of 59-39.

Heritage was lead by senior Jourdon Erskine with 14 points, followed by Davi'elle Thomas with 13 and Sarah Eccleton with 10.
