Pinconning Boys Steamroll Over Alcona 66-37

Andrew Holbrook leads Spartan attack with 20 points

Pinconning came out very focused as they took on Alcona. The first quarter was both teams exchange baskets as they got a feel for each other. Then Pinconning turned on the gas as they went to quick passes. As Alcona tried to keep up with the ball movement, players got open for shots, none bigger than Andrew Holbrook. He hit three 3-pointers to help thrust the Spartans to a 21-8 lead.

The second quarter was Pinconning open up their speed more as they pushed the ball up the court. This opened up more shots and a 41-20 halftime margin.

Alcona made some adjustments at the half to slow down the Spartan assault. But the stingy Pinconning defense kept them in check expanding on the Spartan lead to 55-28.

The fourth quarter played fairly even as both teams went to their benches leading to a final score of 66-37.

Andrew Holbrook finished the night with 20 points having scored 16 of them in the first half. Lucas Foco scored 14 points and Casey Pashak added 13. Reid Wilson led Alcona with 16 points.
