Garber welcomed the always high flying Bridgeport Bearcats. And while Bridgeport clearly had a height advantage, the Dukes were definitely not intimidated.

Garber's vision and quickness gave the Bearcats fits. But two three point bombs by Darvin Ham including his 12 points for the quarter to go along with Bridgeport's front lines leaping ability helped the Bearcats pull ahead. Brett Eichhorn kept Garber in the game with two 3 points of his own and 10 points for the quarter while Mike Schroeder battled Bridgeport's front line keeping them from dominating the boards. In the end, Bridgeport mounted a 22-13 lead.

The Bearcats kept their full court press on to start the second quarter. Garber continued to answer that bell. Brett Eichhorn's dribbling and vision to go with quick guards moved the ball down the floor while battling the press. This produced open shots. But the Dukes struggled to hit them consistently allowing Bridgeport to add to their lead with a 38-24 halftime lead.

Competitive play continued in the second half. But the Bearcats were able to reel off 8 points to start the period before Brett Eichhorn's short jumper stopped the run. Mike Schroeder with help from Jesse Kenniston and Shane O'Mara helped keep Bridgeport from inside baskets. But the Bearcats firepower proved too much as they built a 55-33 lead at the end of the third quarter.

Bridgeport slowed things down in the fourth spreading their offense out. And while Garber went to their bench more, Bridgeport finished things off with a 72-39 victory.

Darvin Ham led Bridgeport with 27 points while Kyle Hampton scored 14 and Derrick Davis added 13 points.

Brett Eichhorn had a great game with 22 points with Jesse Kenniston scoring 6 and Mike Schroeder had 4
