Having won two of their last three games and staring at a chance to climb into second place, the Bobcats came out playing inspired basketball. But Whittemore-Prescott had other ideas of their own. This led to an intense battle between the two schools.

The Cardinals gave the Glenn offense fits as they employed a swarming zone defense. Glenn countered with a couple mixture of press defense to pull to an 11-10 first quarter lead.

The second quarter saw both teams loosen it up and warm up as they battled. Glenn mixed things up more by going deep to their bench to find that combination that would pull them ahead. But the Cardinals hung in their hold off the Bobcats resulting in John Glenn holding a 22-19 half time lead.

The second half sported a more upbeat pace as both teams turned to pushing the ball up the court more. W-P moved ahead by 2 before Glenn responded with a three pointer to regain the lead. The game went back and forth with John Glenn holding the edge and lead by two entering the fourth quarter, 34-32.

Then the wheels started to come off the Cardinal offense. Glenn looked to move the ball more on the Cardinal zone defense with quick short passes. As Glenn slowly moved away, W-P tried to tighten the defense to get the ball back. This resulted in fouls which Glenn converted 6 of their 10 opportunities to further expand their lead. The Bobcat defense tightened things down more holding the Cardinals to 5 points and securing a 47-37 win.

Brett Wesenick and Jaye Kudrow paced the Bobcat attack with 12 points each while Joshua Schaefer added 7.

W-P was paced by senior William Raushi who scored 17 points.
