Pinconning and John Glenn played an even game throughout the quarter as the two teams finished tied 12-12. While Pinconning was working hard on defense preventing the Bobcats from getting on track, the Bobcats spent a lot of the time in the Spartan zone controlling the ball. It appear it was going to be a matter of time when one of the two would prevail.

Having gone to pressing, the Glenn defense smothered Pinconning. Their quick zone hounded the ball carrier preventing her from making passes to any open player. This aggressive defense energized their offense outscoring Pinconning 12-4 in the quarter to take an eight point lead into halftime, 24-16.

The third quarter saw little change as the aggressive Glenn defense kept Pinconning bottled up. Glenn switched to man to man defense for a shot time but quick Pinconning baskets forced Glenn back to their tough zone and shut down Pinconning. Meanwhile the Bobcat offense kept up their quick passing looking for open shots and found some. The result was outscoring Pinconning 16-6 for the quarter and a 40-22 lead.

The fourth quarter saw both teams go to their bench. The Spartans were able to generate more offense but it was not enough as John Glenn came away with a 46-33 win.

Coach Doyle was really happy with the way her team played while missing two players. "Two of our seniors were missing tonight. So without them, I thought our team played really well. Our guards played really phenomenal defense. Audrey Oleniacz took real good care of the ball," Doyle said.

Laura Bluhm led the Bobcats with 16 points while Brianna Sahr added 11 points to go with her 14 rebounds and Audrey Oleniacz chipped in seven.

Laura Pilot lead Pinconning with 19 points while Jessica Vidalez was held to six.
