Coming off a big win against area rival USA, Garber had its sights set on disrupting Frankenmuth's title hopes. But Frankenmuth came focused and determined not to let that happen. Withstanding a third period charge, the Eagles held on to win and keep at least tied for the TVC lead.

Frankenmuth came out gunning while playing a tight defense. Thanks in part to two three point shots by Heather Schultz and a two, the Eagles pulled out to a early ten point lead. Their aggressive defense kept Garber from getting good looks at the basket. Kelsea Zimmerman kept the Dukes in the game with a nine point quarter as Frankenmuth notched a 22-12 lead.

Play heated up as both teams utilized the press to keep pressure. This opened things up for the Dukes for quick baskets. Frankenmuth dropped back to a half court trap picking the Duke guards up just before the half court line. The press kept Garber from setting up their offense slowing their attack. Junior forward Samantha Cormier held the Eagle hot hand for the quarter as she tallied 9 point to help push the Eagle halftime lead to 14, 40-26.

Things got interesting in the third quarter. Garber moved the ball well earning them good looks at the basket. Their effort was rewarded as they pulled to within 6 late in the third quarter. But Frankenmuth made a surge in the final minute and a half to regain most of the ground they lost and held a 12 point lead going into the fourth quarter.

The close encounter inspired the Eagles as they surged ahead early in the fourth quarter. Garber tried to claw their way back into the game but Frankenmuth's forwards attacked from many angles to seal the victory.

The Eagles had a balanced attack led by Kelsey Ritter who had 16 points followed by a trio of girls all scoring 15 points including Heather Schultz, Samantha Cormier and Jenny McCain.

Garber was led by senior point guard Kelsea Zimmerman who had a game high 26 points followed by Halley Lane who tallied 8.
