It's A Party and You're Invited!
WHO: City Rescue Mission of Saginaw and
Good Samaritan Rescue Mission of Bay City
Divisions of Rescue Ministries of Mid-Michigan
WHAT: A Pantry Party to fill the mission's cupboards and freezers for those in need!
WHY: In 2008 the Saginaw Rescue Mission served 60,156 meals and Good Samaritan Rescue Mission served 42,685 meals. "With the economic downturn more and more families and individuals are turning to the missions for help. We're being proactive. Unfortunately, the need is always higher in the spring and summer when funds and cupboards are low," states Mission Director, Ken Streeter.
HOW: The mission will host a kick-off party March 3rd at all three Gordon Food Stores where patrons can shop from the mission's "food registry." Staff from both Missions will be on hand to meet patrons, answer questions and share a few mission recipes.
