Looking to raise their record above .500, Frankenmuth was not about to take Millington lightly. The Eagles bolted right out of the gates shutting down the Millington offense with tough man to man defense. They then utilized long passes for easy lay ups to outscore the Cardinals in the first quarter, 13-7.

In the second quarter, Frankenmuth totally shut down the Cardinal attack. The Eagles pulled off their press and went to a half court game. Millington was able to slow the Eagles down with a quick zone defense which limited open shots. While Millington was able to hold Frankenmuth to 9 points, the Eagles prevented Millington from making one field goal as the Cardinals here held to 1 points and a 22-8 halftime score.

Full of confidence, Frankenmuth came out in the second half determined not to have a letdown. They continued their offensive pressure. This coupled with a stifling zone defense kept the Cardinals under raps holding them to 4 points for the quarter in building a 33-12 lead.

The fourth quarter saw more usage of the bench. Millington was able to more than double their offensive output of the first three quarters by scoring 16 points. But it was far from enough as the Eagles cruised to a 41-28 victory.

Tyler Gray's 14 points led the Eagles as Nathan Krafft added 9 and Matt Bender tossed in 6. Michale Tisdale led Millington with 9 points.
