Do you like pie?
I myself am not a fan of sweet foods -- no chocolate, no candy, no (way) cake.
Pie? .... well ... last week a business associate brought three pies into the OJA offices -- from the Grand Traverse Pie Company (located in Midland) -- Cherry, Strawberry-Rhubarb, and Lakeshore Berry . . .
So I thought I would be (at least) sociable and try it . . . OMG ... I am not kidding you. The moment this hit my lips, it was pure delight.
Now . . the whole office is in an uproar over these pies . . . I'm hearing horror stories... such as people getting up in the middle of the night, because the pie is calling to them from the kitchen .... not once but twice.
I heard one of the office staff call out to the pie delivery man .. and say (I quote) "You're the devil" when he walked in to deliver the 3rd pie.
This pie craze has corrupted our whole office.....
Language like... "I'm going to get another piece of pie".... "Not the strawberry pie... thats mine!"
We had people rating the pies in order of favorite flavors.
1. cherry
2. strawberry
3. berry
Once word got out - outside of the office - about these pies, by word of mouth.... not even having tasted the pie... I heard someone tell someone that they were on their way to Midland to try one!!!
Its Pie-Madness!!!
Then . . . I went out to dine . . . over the weekend . . and the waitress asked "would you like to try some pie for dessert?"
I was speechless. . .

I KNEW I should have gone into the office to write articles today instead of from home! Arghhh.....Mar left wondering if that piece of pie will still be there tomorrow morning and is kicking herself for forgetting to take it home (so it would not spoil of course, over the weekend)...

Hey Julie,
I almost feel guilty that I work for the Grand Traverse Pie Company.....but being their Sales and Catering Representative, I must sell pie! I'm happy to hear that you loved the pie. I will be in with some more just to say thanks! so beware....we make 40 different pies, not to mention our death by chocolate cake.
