While warm temperatures raised hopes that spring had finally arrived, Central entered its game against Midland with hopes of keeping their winning Saginaw Valley ways. But a sixth inning insurgent ruined those hopes.

Midland opened the game with a run thanks to a lead off single by Drew Moulton and a RBI single by Jake Enszer. The Wolves quickly responded with a run of their own. Jake Drzewicki led off the bottom of the first with a triple followed by Chad Sepos' RBI single knotting the score at 1-1.

Midland came right back in the second when their lead off hitter Babinski walked and eventually scored on a Gagnon single. Central then responded with two runs of their own when they got their leadoff hitter, Carl Downing, on with a double. Zach Bauer reached base on an error and Jason Klopf singled Downing home. Bauer then scored on a pass ball making it a 3-2 Central lead.

Midland struck right back as Moulton singled and ultimately scored on Eric Daawson's single.

But a key to winning any game is getting your leadoff hitter on base. As the leadoff hitter had figured into every score so far, Midland started the top of the sixth with a leadoff single by Kenny Babinski. Following a walk to Alex Rapanos, Connor Gagnon single driving in Babinski and giving the Chemics the lead. Jake Enszer then drove in Rapanos and Gagnon with a single thus securing a Midland victory.

Austin Stapish took the loss in relief of starter Justin Drzewicki who went the first four innings before giving away to Stapish in the fifth.
