Bay City's Matt Maciag Wins In A Unanimous Decision In Main Event

It might have been pouring rain outside the Prime Event Center on Saturday night . . . but inside there was thunder and lightning!

It was the Greater Bay Area Boxing Center and American Boxing & Athletic Association (ABAA) annual Spring Boxing Show on Saturday, April 25, 2009.

The Boxing event was held at the Prime Event Center in Downtown Bay City.

Heavyweight Matt Maciag from Bay City ABAA Boxing Club won in a unanimous decision in the main event of the night. Maciag's opponent Efrain Garcia of Saginaw. Garcia fought a tough fight, but Maciag out-boxed him winning all 3 rounds.




Just over three hours included 14 outstanding bouts of amateur boxers ranging in age from 12 years and up. All bouts sanctioned by Michigan Association of USA Boxing Inc. Host Robert Arsenault, ABAA, Head Boxing coach. Master of Ceremonies, Fernando Amay Jr.

(Above) Middleton (R) was full of fire and took a well deserved victory when the Ref stopped the contest in the 3rd round. Middleton is now 2-1.
