Leadership Bay County Class of 2009 kicked-off the "Plant a Seed, Grow a Community" business and school partnership program on May 11, at Linsday Elementary School in Bay City.
Approximately 30 schools and 60 businesses have committed to the venture. Projects at other schools will begin this week.
The purpose of the project is to beautify the exterior of Bay County public schools by pairing them with one to three companies, in order to promote community pride, to draw new businesses and families to the area, and to provide an opportunity for businesses and schools to equally benefit from the volunteer process.
