The Lions had on their hitting shoes Monday night. Erica Treiber singled and made the best of it as she worked herself around to score putting Lions up 1-0 after one inning.

After shutting down Essroc, the Lions came back to score four more runs in the second. Julia Bublitz reached base on an error. Then Erika Wilson singled putting Bublitz in scoring position. Then two walks and an error later, Erica Treiber stroked her second single of the game helping the Lions build a 5-0 lead.

The Lions were not done there. In the third inning, the Lions scored two more runs thanks to a walk to Autumn Vandenbusch and a single by Jessica Fritz. This made it Lions 7 and Essroc 0.

Essroc was able to put two runs on the board in the top of the fourth inning thanks to some help from Lions. Walks to Lisa Ross and Sara Reinhardt and a hit batsman to Ally Skrzypczak allowed the base runners to score twice narrowing the margin to 7-2.

Lions scored four more times in their half of the fourth inning. After walks to Julia Bush and Allison Hoppe, Kayla Gremel, Erica Treiber and Autumn Vandenbusch all came through with singles making it the final 11-2.

Essroc resumes play on May 27 at 5pm when they take on the Firehouse Softwash.

E-H Lions plays the 7 pm game against Bay Landscaping.
