While Meijer was able to jump out to an early lead, Rost Cleaning battled back to claim a 9-4 boys major win.

Meijer jumped out to a early 3-0 lead in the first inning. Following a lead off walk to Neal Spencer, Ethan Lesperance reached base on an error. Then CJ Glaza drilled a single putting Meijer on the scored board. A fly out to center by Spencer Reames and a ground out to short by Logan Martin helped score Glaza.

Rost Cleaning responded in the second inning. Trevor Thomson singled then worked his way around the bases while Meijer's Neal Spencer was striking out the side making it 3-1 Meijer.

Rost Cleaning then erupted with five runs in the top of the fourth inning. Zavian Stickler started things off with a single. After Andy Crete reached base on an error, Guy Henika and Trevor Thomson worked back to back walks helping push across a run. Brandon Vandenbelt singled and with an error of the bat of Graham MacBride and a ground out, Rost Cleaning was in control, 6-3.

Meijer fought back in the bottom of the inning. CJ Glaza got on base then proceeded to steal second and third. Logan Martin drove him home with a double and Meijer had narrowed the margin to 6-4.

Rost Cleaning added three insurance runs in the top of the sixth inning. Zavian Stickler, Mason Monville and Guy Henika all singled to help drive the runs in hoping to secure the win. But Meijer was determined to comeback. Singles by Brennan McNally, Neal Spencer and Ethan Lesperance loaded the bases. But Guy Henika closed the door striking out the next two batters to preserve the win.

Rost Cleaning takes on American Legion on May 27 at 7 pm while Meijer plays the early game at 5pm against R&R Ready Mix.
