Saturday morning was a beautiful day for baseball as Gephart took on Copoco at Northwest Little League. While the two teams battled it out, it was Gephart that held the upper hand as they pulled out a 2-1 win.

Copoco threatened in the first inning. Trying to take advantage of walks, they couldn't get the needed hit as they stranded Emily at third and a 0-0 score after one inning.

Gephart got on the scoreboard in the second inning. Taylor singled then worked his way around the bases ultimately scoring.

Gephart would add a second run in the third which proved to be the game winner. Gavin worked a full count walk. After an infield error moved him on to second, Ryan doubled bringing him in and making it 2-0.

Copoco would threaten in the fourth inning when Austin singled and Cameron walked putting runners on first and second with one out. But the Gephart pitching was tough as they struck out the next two batters keeping the score at 2-0.

Gephart threatened to open up their lead in the top of the fifth when they put two runners on with two outs. This time it was the Copoco pitching that was tough as they got the final out on strikes keeping it to a 2-0 score.

Copoco rallied with two outs in the bottom of the fifth. Austin singled and got himself in scoring position. Then Nathan singled him home narrowing the gap to 2-1.

Gephart looked to respond in the sixth. Back to back singles by Cole and Morgan put a runner at third but they couldn't get Cole home keeping the score at 2-1.

But the Gephart pitching was sharp as they only surrendered a two out walk before retiring the side and securing the victory at 2-1.
