After downing the undefeated North Huron Warriors 7-1, the Cougars moved on to face the Ubly Bearcats in the Regional Final. Both teams went scoreless in the first inning but the Cougars put the hammer down early in the second. All Saints pitcher, Drew Bauer #12 smacked one to right field where the Ubly fielder missed the catch and allowed Bauer to reach first base safely, and Justin Gielda #4 to score the first of many All Saints runs.

Kevin Jakubczak scored next when he stole home off a Bearcat error on #1 Josh Sutton's hit. BJ Weaver scored the third run for All Saints off a sacrifice from Adam Pijaszek #6 to put All Saints up 3-0 early in the second inning.

The Cougars weathered the Bearcats storm in the bottom of the second inning beautifully. A quick toss from Thomas Villano on third to his brother Justin Villano on first earned All Saints the first out. The second out came from a flip from Justin Geilda on second base to Villano for the quick tag on first, and the final out came from Kevin Jakubczak who caught a fly ball.

The Cougars went scoreless in the third inning but came back with a passion late in the game, adding five more runs to their lead in the final three innings of the game. The Bearcats succumbed to the juggernaut Cougars 8-0 not because of All Saints' pitching, nor from Ubly's lack of hits, but from All Saints flawless defense.

The Cougar defenders earned twelve outs off of tags at first and force outs at second and third base, effectively shutting down Ubly's offense. All Saints pitcher Drew Bauer had only five strikeouts in this blowout All Saints victory proving just how hard the Cougars defense worked for this victory.

The Cougars are Regional Champions for the second year in a row and move on to play in the State Quarter Final early next week. When asked how his team performed at Regionals, All Saints Head Coach Mike Regulski said his team played "exceptional", "definitely better than last week at Districts." When asked his thoughts on the Quarter Finals, coach Regulski said that "each game the opponents get tougher, and we've got to elevate our play to the next level to win on Tuesday."
