Omnisource was the benefactor of a perfect pitching performance by Tyler against Anderson Pharmacy Tuesday night. This performance coupled with Omnisource's five runs helped defeat Anderson Pharmacy 5-0.

A perfect game is when a pitcher gets out every batter he faces. A walk, then a double play doesn't count toward a perfect game. What makes it even more special is that Little League pitchers are subject to a pitch count which could result in their removal from a game before completing the game.

But Tyler took this perfect game to another level. He struck out every batter but one. That amounts to seventeen strikeouts in six innings. Only Tanner's ground out back to Tyler prevented a perfect strikeout game.

While the Omnisource teammates were not called upon defensively, they more than contributed with their bats. In the first inning, Tyler started a two out rally with a single. Luke, Greg, and Dean all followed with singles to post a 2-0 lead.

The hits continued in the second inning. Rick led off with a single, followed by a walk to Hayden. Arik drove in a run with a single. Then Greg doubled, driving in two more runs to put Omnisource ahead 5-0.

Caleb, pitching for Anderson kept Omnisource in check the rest of the way, giving up only a single to Hayden in the third and a double to Dan in the fifth. Logan pitched the sixth, keeping Omnisource in check, giving Anderson one more chance to come back. But the night belonged to Tyler and Omnisource and the perfect game.
