Racing To Rescue The Homeless

The City Rescue Mission of Saginaw, Good Samaritan Rescue Mission of Bay City and media personalities from radio and television will feature a celebrity go-kart race to raise funds and awareness for homeless families and individuals seeking shelter in Mid-Michigan!

When: Friday, July 17

Gates open & Time Trials at 5:00p.m. / Racing at 7:30 p.m.

Where: Dixie Motor Speedway Birch Run

Celebrity racers: Dan Armstrong, WEYI TV 25, Ryan Slocum WJRT TV 12, Vicki Hill, Hot 107, Jodi K 94.5 the Moose, Adam Shilling WHEELZ 104.5, MI State Representative (and 2008 race winner) Ken Horn will compete in Go-karts provided by Kokomo's.

Racers will appeal to their colleagues, families and friends to donate towards their efforts to determine their pole position. Dixie Motor Speedway has offered a $5,000 incentive if the Mission can fill the stands with a crowd of 2,500.
