The 2009 Labadie Pig Gig presented by State Farm, which is held in Veterans Memorial Park has been transformed from a normal park setting to a beautiful landscaped paradise!
Jonny Heinz Landscaping & Batschke Garden Center have teamed up to donate their services, hard work, beautiful greenery and hardscape to make this fund raising Rib-Fest a work of beauty.
Jonny Heinz Landscaping owner, Cindy Malott-Heinz has taken on the task of turning the VIP area into a tropical paradise. What was a simple plot of dirt will transform into a scene from the Caribbean!
Come and see the VIP area as Cindy and her team will use a combination of brick pavers, bamboo, lush greenery and tropical plants to complete a new look that showcases their landscaping talents! The VIP is THE place to be-Mingle and experience the SERENITY compliments & exclusively designed by Jonny Heinz Landscaping. We will see you there!
Batschke Garden Center compliments the work of Jonny Heinz Landscaping with flowers and plant life and much more. Kurt Batschke and his crew have an eye for beauty that turns flaws into attractions!
As guests walk in to the landscaped floral area at the front entrance, they will see a grouping that appears to be a naturally attractive feature of the park, when in fact a large sewer cap sits underneath. Large electrical boxes disappear under a lush growth of fern plants. Unattractive necessities, such as manhole covers disappear in a display of shrubs and flowers.
Stunning floral arrangements compliment the fine china and linen in the Pigalcious Free Food Demonstration Tent, compliments of Batschke Garden Center.
Many guests of the Labadie Pig Gig comment on how beautiful the setting is in Veterans Memorial Park, much of this is thanks to Batschke Garden Center and Jonny Heinz Landscaping!
The Labadie Pig Gig presented by State Farm is held in Veterans Memorial Park, August 6th through the 9th. The event features a national rib competition, nightly musical concerts, the Coors Light tent, Covenant Health Care Hospitality tent, the Great Lakes Loons Family Stage, Pig Racing, the Catholic Federal 5K, children's activities, and a brand new Water-ski show! Dow Corning sponsors the charity area which benefits over 20 area charities.
