WIOG is sure stepping up to the plate to help prevent child abuse and neglect with two events this week, their annual RoofSit featuring Demas who makes the ultimate sacrifice, living on top of the McDonald's on Wilder in Bay City's roof for days to raise money and the popular Lizzard Fair.

Each year WIOG bring awareness to the problem of child abuse in Mid-Michigan by helping out the CAN Council Saginaw County, Nathan Weidner Children's Advocacy Center and NEW this year Safe and Sound Child Protection and Advocacy Center in Midland.

Midland's Dow Diamond, home of the Great Lakes Loons baseball team, was the setting for a sold out crowd Sunday for WIOG-FM, 102.5, Lizzard Fair.

The Lizzard Fair featured Sean Kingston, Flo Rida, Thriving Ivory, Boys Like Girls and Jessie James.

Singer-rapper Kingston, with Flo Rida were the concert's headliner, will "Take You There" with a sound that made "Beautiful Girls" the fastest ascending single in history and continued with hits "Me Love," "Love Like This," "There's Nothin'" and, of course, "Take You There."

Rapper Flo Rida comes from the Sunshine State - Flo Rida - with "Right Round," the single that broke the digital singles sales record he set earlier with his own "Low." Flo Rida also performed his hit single "Jump", theme song from the popular new movie G-Force.

Thriving Ivory originates from the Bay area in CA. They rocked the stadium with their hit "Hey Lady" on Sunday.

The Boston band Boys Like Girls performed their solid pop hit singles, "The Great Escape" and "Holiday." Opening the show was pop singer Jessie James, who made her mark with "Wanted".

Dow Diamond is the home field for the Great Lakes Loons and one of the region's premiere special events facilities. For more information about Dow Diamond and the Loons, call 989-837-BALL or visit Great Lakes Loons Website.
