I watched them both . . . MSU's overtime win against Michigan and then stayed right in my seat as Notre Dame's Irish outlasted Washington in the second OT game.
Announcers kept mentioning that 1966 was the last time MSU beat a Michigan team in back-to-back years.
Heheheh . . . Something about 1966 and MSU and Notre Dame seems to ring a bell but I just can't seem to recall the significance . . . but the numbers 10-10 are part of my foggy remembrance.
Can you believe that was 43 years ago?
RUDE AWAKENING FOR SOME -- It must have been a rude awakening for some when they found out the network TV (ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX) was not carrying the MSU/Mich game. It was on Big Ten Network (Charter 59) and could only be seen if you had Cable.
Did you see (or recognize/remember Bay City Central's Trent Robinson (MSU #39)-- He was awesome -- You might remember him in his BCC finest --

The MSU/Mich game was a war of wars . . . a battle royal . . . and one of the games when it's truly unfortunate that someone has to lose.
But the Big Ten Network was wayyyyyyyyy over the line with its advertising placement on even the most tiny aspects of the game.
Here are just a few . . . I'm sure you noticed. You Had to. I noticed too . . . but I wrote them down so we could could make fun of The Big Ten Network together here at MyBayCity.

I had a nightmare the other night -- all of the ESPN sports analysts and Weather Channel meteorologists were Indian -- With voices like the telephone technical support staff for Dell Computers . . . "I totally understand your frustration, Mr. Cunningham."
