Beautiful Downtown Bay City
One of the Great Lakes Bay Region's favorite places to enjoy the traditions of the holiday season is historic Downtown Bay City, where value is measured by warm smiles, locally owned businesses, and special holiday activities.
"Sundays in the City", Sundays, November 15th through December 20th, includes so many ways to enjoy the sights, the sounds and the joy of the season:
Free Horse Drawn Carriage Rides. Pick-up is from noon until 3 p.m. in front of the State Theatre, 913 Washington Ave.
Strolling Musicians and Carolers enhance the Downtown holiday experience by performing through-out the streets from noon to 2 p.m. This year's musical entertainment includes the Tri City Chorus of the Sweet Adelines and various area entertainers.
Santa Buck. With this special certificate, holiday shoppers will receive $5 off regularly priced items each Sunday at 29 businesses. Total Santa Buck Value is $145.00!!!
Festival of Wreaths. Downtown visitors can enter to win one of the many specially decorated wreaths located at each participating business.
Sleigh of Gifts. One lucky shopper will win all of the gifts donated by the participating Downtown businesses, valued at over $2,000!! The sleigh will be on display at Herter Music Center, 901 Washington Avenue.
Holiday Movies at the State Theatre. Each Sundays in the City holiday movie will be shown at 2:00 p.m. at the historic State Theatre, 913 Washington Avenue.

December 6 - A Christmas Carol (1951)
December 13 - A Christmas Story
December 20 - White Christmas
And again this year, a special Bay City tradition continues as generations of families gather to greet Santa and Mrs. Claus in Wenonah Park for Santa's Arrival, 7:00 pm, Friday, November 27.
Everyone loves a little savings during the holiday with another Downtown tradition, the Santa Buck - A special holiday coupon to use at businesses all over town!
