It was another Rumble in the Ring in Bay City at the Michigan National Guard Armory on Wilder Rd. on Saturday, November 7, 2009.
The American Boxing & Athletic Association and Greater Bay Area Boxing Center presented their annual Fall Fight Night.
Eighteen bouts took place starting at 7:30, which gave boxing fans a full night of Golden Gloves style boxing action.
The Main Event featured 2-Time Eastern Michigan Champion, Matt Maciag who stopped his opponent Cameron Glenn of Grand Rapids in the 3rd round.
One of the most popular bouts of the night was in the female division Lisa Martinez VS. Jame Bannick. It was a fast action-packed bout with two well experienced fighters.
Boxing fans also enjoyed a special treat with 2008 National Champion Ernie Garza of Saginaw who defeated his opponent, Derrick Moss of Cleveland Ohio, in a unanimous decision.
ABAA Head Coach, Robert Arsenault was very pleased with the sold out event. Arsenault, said, "All the fighters did a great job." Arsenault went on to say that "Maciag, in the main event, did an outstanding job, he's very improved smoothed out and is an experienced veteran in this arena." "We are looking forward to Michigan Golden Gloves Championships," Arsenault went on. "I think he has a great shot."
