Bill Rhoden (right) says that the BCS Football format is "Consumer Fraud." Rhoden made his comment on the ESPN Sunday morning "Sports Reporters" television program.

I couldn't agree more. It may be called a "National Championship -- But it's far from it.

After December 5th, there will be 3, 4 or 5 undefeated teams in college football as the "REGULAR" season ends. They all deserve a chance to play for the BCS trophy.

The Florida Gators and the Alabama Crimson Tide will face each other in the SEC Championship game on December 5th. Only one will come away with an undefeated record.

The Texas Longhorns are also currently undefeated and have to merely skate through the final weeks of the Big 12 conference to earn the other spot in the BCS Championship -- to be hosted by the Tournament of Roses Association at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California, January 7, 2010.

But wait . . . There's more . . .

What about undefeated TCU? Undefeated Cincinnati? and Undefeated Boise State?

With a little luck . . . All five could still be undefeated come December 5th -- The winner of Alabama/Florida, Texas, TCU, Boise State and Cincinnati.

The 10-0 TCU Horned Frogs (Mountain West Conference) have two games remaining against (Wyoming 5-5) and (New Mexico 0-10).

The Cincinnati Bearcats 10-0 (Big East) are really the only undefeated with a team on their schedule that poses a threat. Cincinnati has a big game at Pitt (9-1) on 12/5.

The Boise State Broncos (WAC) have one remaining "big game" with Nevada on 11/27 -- Nevada is Undefeated in WAC Conference play but only 7-3 overall.

But the BCS has already decided that the winner of Florida/Alabama (SEC)and Texas (Big 12) will play for the National Championship.

And it's wrong.

Whether it's a 16-team tournament . . . an 8-team playoff . . . or just a battle among unbeatens . . . All 5 of the teams in our discussion here are deserving of a shot at the National Championship.
