Friday night, the Lady Wolves found themselves outmatched by the Midland Chemics. Falling behind 18 to 5 after the first quarter, Central could not dig themselves out of the hole as Midland went on to post a 61-23 victory.

The Chemics started the first quarter hot. While spreading the scoring around, they were led by Tiarra Carter's six first period points to go along with six for eight from the free throw line to tally 18 points. Carly Crites netted all five of her team's points as they finished the quarter down 18-5.

Midland's tough defense held Central to just four points in the second quarter. This defensive pressure generated solid offense as seven Chemics hit from the floor pushing Midland's lead at halftime to 34-9.

Midland continued their dominance in the third quarter. Continuing their trend of spreading the wealth, the Chemics knocked down 15 points while holding Central to 7 thus building a 49-16 lead.

Try as they might, Central could not find their rhythm in the fourth quarter. Thanks to 3 for 4 shooting from the free throw line, they scored seven in falling to Midland 61-23.

Midland was paced by Jenn Jarema who scored 11 points. Dani Blake added 10.

Central was led by Carly Crites who scored 8 points with Virginia Fisher adding 5.
