After falling to Carrolton by just two scant points last week, the All Saints Cougars hit the road with nothing but victory on their minds.

Soaring to a 15-8 lead at the end of the first period, the Cougars clearly controlled the momentum on the court. Led by All Saints superstar Drew Janer, who finished with an impressive 18 points, the Cougars easily continued their hardwood domination throughout the second period. Though they only led 28-20 at the end of the first half, the Cougars controlled both the flow of the game as well as the scoring prowess of Drew Janer - who was about to take scoring to the next level.

Who says a high school student can't dunk in a basketball game? ASC's Drew Janer and Nouvel Panther Tony Purifoy #52 dazzled the crowd in the third period scoring three amazing dunks. Janer slammed two home, while Purifoy joined in with one.

Despite the epic display of scoring going on, the game was slipping from the Cougars early iron grip. A last minute 3-pointer from Brandon Kern, capped off with a killer 2-pointer from Purifoy, put the Panthers within striking distance. All Saints held onto a delicate 39-33 lead.

Thankfully the Cougars scored 13 additional points, 7 of them from free-throw shots, to cruise to a 52-43 victory on the road.

Drew Janer, the games top scorer, said it felt "pretty good" for the team to notch their first regular season victory. Of his two awe-inspiring two dunks, Janer said it was "exciting . . . with adrenaline you can do a lot of cool things."
