Rock and Country Fans Join Forces For Fundraiser

1st Annual ROCK THIS COUNTRY Event Held At PRIME Event Center

Farm Bureau Insurance Presented the first annual ROCK THIS COUNTRY event featuring 3 Rock & 3 Country bands who performed all day at the Prime Event Center in Downtown Bay City on Sunday, February 21, 2010 starting at noon till 8pm.

Rock and Country fans joined forces to raise funds for both D-Street Entertainment Foundation and Area Family Charities. The event was sponsored by Farm Bureau Insurance and Catholic Federal Credit Union.

The Juice Roosters kicked off the afternoon's entertainment followed by The 25c Beer Band, Dr. Rock, Laurie Middlebrook, Jedi MindTrip and Steel Wheels.

Wendy Dore, Event Promoter (President of DoreAble Entertainment, Inc.) said, "The "Rock This Country" fundraiser was a huge success! We had more people attending than we had hoped for and they all had a fantastic time."

Dore continued, "With the 6 great bands - both Rock and Country it offered a great variety of music."

According to Dore, based on the success and feedback from everyone it will be an annual event!

(Pictured Below) Dennis Beson, President of Dstreet Entertainment Foundation, said, "Thank you to everyone who attended "Rock this Country" we had over 400 people go through the door on Sunday and the bands were tremendous." Beson continued, "What a great day, thank you again to Farm Bureau, Catholic Federal, WHEELS 104.5 FM, Cottage Inn, Mid-Michigan Music, and Hyperman for helping us put the event on."

Dstreet Entertainment Foundation assists musicians and artists of every age, race and gender in the development of their education, promotional skills and performances. Dstreet Entertainment is also host to the popular Parkapalooza.


(Above) Beson is also the singer for The Sinclairs Band and is involved with many other community organizations in the area.
