A Must-See Show
Now Playing In Theaters Everywhere !

Tim Burton's ALICE IN WONDERLAND opened in theaters nation-wide on Friday, March 5, 2010.

Shows through-out the day and evening were SOLD OUT as the last show-time available was at 11:30, luckily I knew better to get tickets in advance.

2-D and 3-D shows were available, the 3-D has been the popular tweak in theaters lately, so of course I had to have the full experience (for my niece of course) and went with the 3-D, glasses and all. I even had my first sip of soda in several years, and the routine 'sno-caps' I talked my niece into.

I was trying to recall the classic 'Alice in Wonderland' Disney Production cartoon by Lewis Carroll, as I was surprised when my niece explained to me that the movie we were about to see was kind of like Alice in Wonderland #2.

(I just thought it was a non-cartoon re-make of the original movie.) Which now I wish I would have refreshed my memory of the original (first) movie.

All the live action and animation put a real spin on the show along with the incredible cast of
  • Newcomer, Mia Wasikowska as ALICE

  • Anne Hathaway as the WHITE QUEEN

  • London-born actress, Helena Bonham Carter as the RED QUEEN

  • And who better to star as any corky character, in this case the 'MAD HATTER'. .
    then JOHNNY DEPP !!

  • . . . As if the story needed to be any more mysterious and freaky, in which the original Alice in wonderland is often rumored of easily noticed subliminal messages, which haunts many of Disney's classic cartoons.

The Story line is based on 19-year-old Alice who returns to the whimsical world she first encountered as a young girl, reuniting with her childhood friends: the White Rabbit, Tweedledee and Tweedledum, the Dormouse, the Caterpillar, the Cheshire Cat, and of course, the Mad Hatter. Alice embarks on a fantastical journey to find her true destiny and end the Red Queen's reign of terror.

In my opinion it is a MUST SEE show and has my Two Thumbs up - for Sure!! If not for the story line, for all the spectacular 3-D, animation, and clever creativity of movies now-a-days.

Not to say too much of the movie to anyone who has not seen it yet, but I have a whole new perception of Alice now. She turned out to be a quite wise and tough little girl, mentally and physically!
